Privacy Policy

At AUROIA ("we", "our", or "the app"), we believe your conversations and data belong solely to you. This Privacy Policy explains how AUROIA operates across our Android and Desktop (Windows & macOS) applications.

1. Chat content and telemetry

AUROIA does not sell your chats, embed advertising SDKs, or run a chat proxy. Prompts you type to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity go to those providers. We do not collect conversation text or AI-site passwords.

To activate a paid plan we send your checkout email, license key, or Dodo payment/subscription ID to AUROIA’s license server so we can confirm the plan is valid. Dodo Payments also processes your payment as Merchant of Record. See their privacy policy for checkout data.

2. Direct Encrypted Communication with AI Providers

When you interact with ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, or Perplexity through AUROIA:

• All network communication occurs directly between your device's browser engine and the official endpoints of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Perplexity over encrypted HTTPS / TLS 1.3 connections.
• Chat traffic is not relayed through an AUROIA proxy. License activation and “already checked out?” lookup use AUROIA’s website API.

3. 100% On-Device Screen Snipper & OCR Processing

When you use the visual Screen Snipper tool on Android or Desktop:

• On Android, optical character recognition is performed locally using Google ML Kit On-Device Text Recognition.
• On desktop, the snip is cropped and kept on your device (clipboard / local cache). Desktop does not use Google ML Kit.
• Screen captures and temporary crop images are not uploaded to an AUROIA server.

4. Audio & Microphone Permissions

AUROIA can request microphone access so the official ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity page can use its own voice features inside the floating window. AUROIA does not run a separate speech-to-text engine. Audio goes to the AI site you have open and is not recorded by AUROIA.

5. Local Storage & Session Cookies

AUROIA preserves your active session state (cookies and local storage) locally within your device's sandboxed environment so you stay logged in between app launches. This data remains on your physical device and is never synchronized to external servers.

6. Children's Privacy

AUROIA does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. Do not use checkout or license activation for a child.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated timestamp.
